Inner City Advisors recently partnered with the East Bay Community Foundation to bring together a panel that included Jay Coen Gilbert,  one of the founders of the “B Corporation” movement, and leaders of three local businesses, including two ICA clients Numi Organic Tea and Give Something Back, who have structured themselves as B Corporations to talk about the benefits of becoming a B-Corporation.

Over 120 businesses are currently established as B-Corporations, which certifies that they meet social, environmental and performance standards within their business.  Additionally, B-Corporations enable organizations to structure themselves so that they create long term sustainability and institutionalize stakeholder intersts.
