Below is an overview of the advising services that ICA provides to its portfolio clients as well as local businesses.
Assessment
ICA staff and deal flow committee conduct a comprehensive evaluation of potential client companies. ICA provides a complete assessment to the potential client company with recommendations for improvement.
- Strategic Advice
ICA identifies advisors that can act as mentors, strategic advisors and/or ad hoc board members for the client. The business advisors meet with the client to discuss strategic issues.
- Strategy Sessions
ICA will assemble a team of advisors comprised of business professionals with a wide range of expertise to help clients address specific challenges in areas such as customer service or technology applications. Client companies will meet with the assigned strategy team until the problem is resolved. The strategy sessions allow client companies to get a variety of input and select the best course of action.
- Technical Assistance
Based on findings from strategy sessions, interviews, and advising sessions, ICA assigns advisors to assist with more tactical projects. These advisors track their hours and the outcomes of the assistance that they provide, including observations, recommendations, or changes in productivity.
